Preparing for Successful Admissions
At St. Monica, we recognize that choosing the right school for your child is a significant decision. Our goal through the admissions process is to develop a thorough understanding of each student who applies while providing an opportunity for you to experience the school and connect with our community.
Enroll at St. Monica in just five easy steps!
Step One: Parent Visit
Visit our campus and take a tour of the school. School tours for the 2025-2026 school year will begin in October 2024.
Please schedule a school tour online or call the school office at (206) 232-5432 to schedule your visit. We look forward to showing you our campus and answering any questions you may have.
Step Two: Application
Complete and submit the Application for Admission.
Step Three: Assessment
Early Learners – Applicants may be invited to visit for an assessment, to determine readiness and class placement. Preschool applicants must be three years old and fully potty-trained on or before August 31 of the year that your child will enter preschool.
Kindergarten – Kindergarten applicants may be invited to visit for an assessment to determine readiness. Washington State specifies that a child must be five years old on or before August 31 of the year your child will enter Kindergarten.
PreK / K Early Learning Assessment will be held on Wednesdays from 2:30-3:30pm by invitation in January-March 2025.
Elementary & Middle School – To ensure a good fit between the applicant and St. Monica, and also ease the student's transition into a new school, we recommend applicants tour the school with their parents. Applicants will be asked to submit copies of prior standardized test scores and report cards for math and reading placement prior to enrollment. St. Monica School staff will also administer a math and reading placement test during the first week of school to ensure proper placement at the beginning of the school year.
High School - Applicants outside of St. Monica Catholic School are invited to visit as a Crusader for the Day.

Step Four: Crusader for a Day Visit
Students entering grade 2 and up, are invited to spend a half day with us through our Crusader for a Day program. Visits start in the January and end in March. These visits are optional. However, we highly encourage you to make an appointment, and come see what happens on a typical day at St. Monica!
If you are an 8th grader considering applying to St. Monica Catholic High School, we welcome you to spend a day with us through our Crusader for a Day program. Visits start in the fall and end in early December. These visits are optional. However, we highly encourage you to make an appointment, and come see what happens on a typical day at St. Monica!
We will provide a student buddy to be with you throughout the day. Student visits are available Tuesdays or Thursdays, with a maximum of three visitors per day. You can register for a Crusader visit within your online admission portal. For questions about Crusader for a Day visits, please contact Jamie North.
If you have not already opened an admissions account, you can start the process at Apply to St. Monica.

Step Five: Enrollment
Once your child is accepted to attend St. Monica Catholic School, our Registrar will email you an Enrollment link to complete the enrollment process, including submission of all required forms. We look forward to working with you through this process!
Financial Assistance
St. Monica does have a limited amount of financial aid available each year. In addition to our parish/school-supported financial assistance, we also participate in the Fulcrum Foundation program to provide financial support to all families who qualify.
The Fulcrum Tuition Assistance Grant program is designed for families that are currently enrolled or that are applying for the next school year at any Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Seattle. Each year, a family must apply through FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment to qualify for a grant and all awards are made based on financial need.
The tuition assistance grant program is closed for the 2024-2025 school year.
Application Open for 2025-2026

We transferred to the Crusader community for the classical education and St. Monica has exceed our expectations. My children come home so happy and excited from what they are learning at school. We hear about the great conversations they are having in class in various subjects, and the truth and beauty that seeps out in all. They are thinking, processing and articulating in a way we have not yet experienced. The classical approach to education has been a huge blessing for our family and the formation of our children.
