Test Scores
All prospective students, grades 1-8, will be screened by St. Monica school prior to final acceptance to determine their skill level at the grade for which they are applying.
St. Monica school will conduct a readiness assessment for all prospective kindergarten students prior to final acceptance.
First priority will be given to practicing, contributing parishioners who already have children enrolled in the school.
Second priority will be 1) practicing Catholics (non-parishioners) who already have children in the school and who are actively supporting the school and the parish, or 2) practicing, contributing parishioners who are registering their children for the first time.
Third priority will be non-Catholics who have children in the school.
Fourth priority will be non-parishioner Catholics who have no children in the school.
Fifth priority will be new non-Catholics.
It is to be understood that if all else is equal, geographical priority, length of time as a registered, contributing member of the parish, and a first-come-first served principle will be used. However, the pastor and the principal will have final authority in applying the above policy.
