Philosophy
Throughout the year, we use an interactive approach to language
learning. Using the theory of the Natural Approach, (second language is
acquired in much the same way we all learned our first), and the
Total Physical Response
method of language teaching, our classes are busy and active ones. As
the year progresses comprehension precedes speech production. This means
that the students will understand more words in Spanish than he or she
will be able to produce. Also remember that translation does not
necessarily indicate a lack of understanding.
Parents are encouraged
to participate in “Learning a new language” with your children.
