School Commission Meeting

October 18, 2007

Principal’s Report:  Pam Dellino

On Monday all staff and coaches attended a class from the Safe Environment Committee of the Archdiocese - a call to protect.  The meeting will be offered to parents also.  This program was first presented in the spring.

Teachers attended the Archdiocese work shop last Friday.  Their focus was on bringing the liturgy into the classroom.  Another workshop will be in the spring. This is a Great way for teachers to connect with each other.

• The Development Office is working on a tracking system for fundraising statements.

• The Development Office needs help with the school update newsletter.  Connie wants this out before Christmas. Parishioners, alumni & school families receive this letter

Budget is on the right trend.  A few items are over budget: computers, supplies

Scrip:  Shari Pederson

 Scrip is now stocking Bellevue Square gift certificates.

Preschool/After school care update: Shari Pederson- Jeanine Holmes

All of the commission members contacted a variety of preschools in the area and surveyed them on their programs.  There were many similarities with what is being offered.  Pam was given all of the information to review.  The next step is putting together a financial analysis for the Parish Finance Council.
