School Commission Meeting

November 15th, 2007

Many thanks to Peter Schmidt for speaking at the Auction about the preschool/multi use building project.  He did a great job.

 

Please read the family packet and refer to the web site for all of the upcoming events.

 

The end of the trimester is November 27th.  Report cards will be mailed home the following week.  Be sure to look for them.

 

Support your favorite Washington football team this Tuesday.  Wear your purple and gold or crimson and gray in honor of the Apple Cup.

 

The school has recently purchased 12 new computers for grades 4-8.  This was a budgeted item and is replacing the old computers that we received many years ago from the Gates Foundation.

The budget looks great.  It is balanced as projected so far.

Phone-a-thon mailers will be mailed out the first week of January.

 

An annual report newsletter will be coming out in January.  This will be highlighting many of the great things going on in our school.

 

The development office needs volunteers for many different projects.  Please contact Connie to help out.

 

Cafeteria Plan:  Connie Anastasi

 

The fundraising and volunteer commitment letters will be mailed out the first week of December.  They will summarize your current fundraising totals and your volunteer hours.

 

Preschool:  Peter Schmidt

 

The preschool committee will be issuing a financial report to the Parish Finance Council in January.  This is a projected 5 year financial report. 

 

David Lockhart has been working on a proposed expense break down.

 

Tom Holland is the project manager for the preschool.

 

You can still contribute to the preschool.  Please contact Connie Anastasi or Pam Dellino.\

 

Class Fees:  Pam Dellino, Shari Pederson

 

The class room fees will now be collected during registration in the spring.  This will help make sure that each class is able to collect all of their fees.  The fees help with class parties, teacher’s gifts, end of the year picnic and the auction
