School Commission Meeting

January 22, 2008

Kindergarten registration is still open.

Please read the newsletter for all upcoming events.  There are many things happening within the school.

Catholic Schools Week is next week.  The Distinguished Grad.  Reception is Sunday after 9:30 Mass.  Maggie Stiles will be honored.

Thank you to Peter Schmidt and Chris Vacca for their presentation to the Finance Commission.  The presentation went well and we are able to move forward with the project.  The committee will be firming up numbers and putting a more detailed plan together.

Budget /Finance Report: Peter, Chris, Scott, David

The Budget is where it should be at this time.  Nothing new to report.

Scrip: Shari

The Scrip program gave the School $15,000 generated from its profits.  Look for a Spring Scrip promotion and a training course for those looking to utilize Scrip more.

Development: Connie

Phon-a-thon:  February 4^th & 5^th at BioControl in Factoria.  This year the goal is $135,000

Registration 08/09: Pam

School registration begins March 5^th for the 08-09 school year.  There will be a parent meeting held in morning and evening of the 5^th.  Parents will hear about next year’s tuition break down as well as pick up their registration packets.  School Commission members will be on hand. 

Sub – Committees and Future Commitments: Pam

The Commission members will be forming several sub committees to help us move forward in many areas.

 Discernment, budget, marketing, preschool, accreditation and a new family connection committee will all be formed or continue.
