Speech Team Members and Parents,
Here we go, two tournaments in two weekends! 

All of your hard work is coming to fruition with excellent speeches and powerful presentations!  (If you haven’t already signed up for Eastside, please do so by Friday, January 25^th!)

I couldn’t help but notice that there is a dance on Friday evening…please remember that you have worked hard to prepare for this tournament and that you will need to be your best, rested self in order to do your best…

For our tournament at Seattle Prep., this Saturday, here are a few reminders.

1. Pack an extra copy of your speech(es) in the “ parachute box”  by Friday.

2. Bring your speech, in page protectors!

3. Bring a lunch, drink, and a snack, it is a long day.

4. Dress nicely, conservatively. Skirt and sweater or blouse, dress, or nice slacks for girls; slacks, shirt tucked in, belt, maybe a tie for boys.

5. Arrive at Seattle Prep. by 8:30, go to the cafeteria and look for our group.  It will be very crowded, so keep your belongings together and tidy.

In case of inclement weather, the tournament may be cancelled.  I will call each family as soon as possible if this is the case.  I have been advised to call the main school (Seattle Prep.) number for a recording that should be available by 6 a.m. (206) 325-2400.  They have stated that they will be conservative in their decision, and that the tournament will not be rescheduled if cancelled.

A schedule for the Seattle Prep. tournament and driving directions was sent home with the students.  Please contact me if you need another copy.
