The St. Monica Parish School Experience
-Andrew
King - St. Monica Parish School Class of 2004
"I have had
experience with multiple styles of education, from public, to private, to
homeschooling, and St. Monica Parish school stands out because of a number of
qualities. At St. Monica Parish School, the teachers actually have an
interest in their students, in their emotional wellbeing and academic success.
So much of standard education these days takes place in vast classrooms where
students only stay a few minutes at a time. At St. Monica Parish School, I was able to
develop a personal friendship with each of my teachers, and each of my teachers
got to know my own aspirations and style. St. Monica was a place where I
could express my faith in a safe and accepting environment. In every other
academic setting in my life, I have constantly found myself avoiding certain
topics of discussion relating to my faith. The importance of building a
religious base early in life is vital to having a sense of decency and
self-respect that will carry one through the trials of teenage years and life in
general. St. Monica Parish School is the place where you can trust that your
children will be getting an education for life."
-Luke Janicki - St. Monica
Parish School Class of 2007
“When I think back on the aspects of my education which I believe will truly
remain with me for the rest of my life, the religious education I received at
St. Monica Parish School definitely sticks out in my mind. Now that I have graduated, I
have realized through various experiences in high school that the Catholic
values instilled in me during my time at St. Monica School will always keep me
grounded. When I think of all the challenges that present themselves everyday,
I am assured to know that my education from St. Monica School has not only
prepared me academically for high school, but inspired me to follow my Catholic
faith for the rest of my life.”
-Nick
Mahan - St. Monica Parish School Class of 2007
"I can imagine no place I would have rather been growing up from
kindergarten to eighth grade than St. Monica School. Looking back, I have come
to appreciate my teachers’ dedication to my learning and the effectiveness of
their teaching styles all the more, and I believe that I made more lasting
relationships with my classmates than the majority of the students I now know
from other schools. Furthermore, I felt especially prepared for high school as I
went into my freshman year at Eastside Catholic High School, both
academically as well as spiritually; St. Monica’s helped me build a
foundation of scholarship and faith that solidly equipped me for the years
to come."
Courtney Mitchell - St.
Monica Parish School Class of 2007
"When I think of my experience from St. Monica Parish School, I can only think of positive
memories. With an admirable educational and spiritual environment, St Monica
Parish School
showed me how to display compassion and a heart of gold through my actions. I
will forever cherish the bonds I made with my peers, teachers, and student
families in my time spent at St. Monica Parish School. This school has shaped and prepared me
for my future, and I am so thankful for that."
