Dear St. Monica Parish School Families,
October is quickly coming to a close and we begin the count down to our November 19th Gala Night Auction! If you have not yet turned in your reservations, please do so right away! The classroom projects are beautiful and there are wonderful items to bid on. Reaching for the Stars promises to be an exciting evening. Please join us!!!

News of Note:

• Auction Action : We are so close to 100% participation from our school families for auction donations!  Just 6 families still need to complete their procurement forms and turn them into the office . We ask that you please fulfill that obligation and help us make our goal of 100% participation from our school community. We cannot do it without you! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
• Free Dress Days : Friday, October 28th is the last Friday of the month and our regular free dress day. Monday, October 31st   is Halloween and students may have free dress if they wear orange, white, or black. No costumes, please. As always...appropriate free dress attire is required as defined in the school handbook.
• Safe Environment Classes: Thank you to all of the families that have taken the Safe Environment classes both in person and the online updates. We appreciate your attention to this important requirement. If you are not sure of your status regarding this expectation, please contact Ruth Carton in the school office and she can assist you in the process.
• Special Masses: Please join us for the following special Masses:

• Tuesday, November 1st at 9:00 am.  All Saints Day Mass. Our 4th graders will lead the way with a special Litany of Saints.
• Friday, November 4th at 9:00 am. First Friday Mass.
• You are also welcome to join us each week as we attend the regular 9:00 am parish Mass as a school community. It is always very special to have our parents at Mass with us!

• Poinsettia Sale:  Orders due 11/7 . Please consider supporting this fundraiser!
• Uniform Shorts Reminder: As of November 1st, shorts can no longer be worn to school. They resume as part of the regular uniform in the spring. Thank you for following the school uniform guidelines.
• Box Tops UPDATE! Wow! The 2nd Grade has come out of nowhere and moved into 2nd place!  3 more days to raid the pantry, look in the laundry room and raid the zip-lock bag supply in your classroom!  The Fall Box Top Contest ends Friday and the winner of the free dress day will be revealed on Monday, Oct 31st...
  
  Currently we have Third Grade in 1st place, Second Grade in 2nd place and Kindergarten in 3rd... Less than box tops100 tops separate the top 3 classes!  Great Job Everyone!
