Dear St. Monica School Families,
The final
numbers for the Sally Foster Gift Wrap Sale are in! $31,998.00 in
gross sales!! This greatly exceeds the projected numbers given our
buy-out and “cafeteria plan” program for fundraising. This means that
when all is tallied, we’ll receive 50% of the gross and we should net
approximately $16,000.00 profit for the school. It is clear that many
more people than expected participated in the sale at some level making
this a very successful event. Thanks to all for the wonderful
support!!
Very special thanks to Renee Holland, Julie Malone, and Tamara Perry for their leadership and hard efforts on this project!!! Gift Wrap Delivery date: October 16th!! Entertainment Books: $20.00 each…many still available!!! Consider them for early Christmas Gifts!!
Fund-An-Item: I am very excited to share with you information about this year’s special Auction Fund-An-Item! Many of you are aware of the long time parish community interest and desire to establish a preschool program. Thanks to the hard work of the School Commission over the last few years, some of the important groundwork has already been done. The Parish Finance Council has given the go ahead for us to continue pursuing this project and have encouraged us to include it as this year’s Fund-An-Item. The vision of this project is to have a modular building on the property that will serve many purposes. It will house a faith based preschool, after school care for students, and also serve as additional space for use by the entire parish community and its many ministries. The Fund-An-Item will be “SEED MONEY” for this project. We already have $30K donated for this purpose and we look forward to gathering the support of all as we look towards planning for the future of the entire St. Monica Parish community! Parish Auctions: November 8th and 10th are the parish auctions! Save the date and send in your reservations now. Auction donations can be dropped off in the school office. Every school family is obligated to turn in an item or donation valued at least $150.00 per the school contract. Most of all, your presence at the auctions is needed. Let’s join together to make this a great event for all!
Please note: Today’s family packet includes a copy of the most recent letter from Archbishop Brunett regarding an update on the parish situation. The parish administration requested that we include this in the school packet for anyone that may have missed seeing it in the bulletin this past weekend.
October 18 & 19 Parent/Teacher Conference Sign-Up Sheets: The sign up sheets for conferences are posted on the window outside the main school office. Please sign up for a time with your child’s teacher. Please contact them directly if you have questions, concerns, or need to make another arrangement.
