"Where charity and
love prevail there God is ever found..."

From the Desk of Mrs. Dellino,
Principal
May 14, 2008
Dear St. Monica School Families,
We have had a very busy and exciting week!
Among other things……We had a very
successful Walk-a-thon with our school students, our sparrow Luke, his
family, and the “Mariner Moose.” Even the weather cooperated….Our
wonderful second graders received their First Holy Communion last
weekend and it was a beautiful celebration. We are very proud of
them….The sixth grade class culminated their D.A.R.E. program with their
special “graduation” ceremony yesterday. We were pleased to welcome many
parents, city officials and our wonderful Officer Franklin. We have been
most fortunate to have Officer Jennifer Franklin as our D.A.R.E. officer
for many years and we wish her well as she moves on to a new position in
the department. She has been an amazing role model for our children…
Please make sure that you check the
calendar, website, school newsletter, and class newsletters to keep on
top of what is happening during this last month of school. Time is
moving quickly and there is so much happening!
Preschool Update: We
continue to make progress regarding the Preschool Project/Multi-purpose
building. The “traffic study” was begun last week and so far so good!
Please keep up the great work abiding by the drop-off and pick-up
routines. This week there is a property survey taking place as well. We
look forward to keeping you all in the loop as we move forward with this
exciting project!
School Survey for Parents: Thanks
to all who have taken the time to complete the school parent survey
online. You can access it through our school website or go directly to:
The faculty and
staff were showered with thoughtful gifts, cards, a beautiful luncheon,
and so much more. We all feel blessed and very grateful to be a part of
this supportive community….Thank you!
As always, I am just a phone call or an
email away and my door is always open!
May God bless you and those you love!
