"Where charity and love prevail there God is ever found..."

From the Desk of Mrs. Dellino, Principal

March 12, 2008

Dear St. Monica School Families,
This Lenten season, as you think about the troubles that surround the world and you, ponder on St. Paul’s words in Corinthians, “Love never fails.” When St. Paul said “never” he didn’t mean sometimes, he meant “never” and he learned this from the greatest teacher of all---Jesus. Throughout the world we see everyday, contending forces of good and evil. love and hatred. God’s love is the only force that can truly hold us all together.  Lent is traditionally a time to give up something. Let us work at giving up any form of evil; hatred, violence, verbal abuse, resentments, prejudice, and discrimination. Let the words of St. Francis be our guide, “Lord, make me an instrument of your peace; where there is hatred, let me sow love.”
