"Where charity and
love prevail there God is ever found..."

From the Desk of Mrs. Dellino,
Principal
January 16, 2008
Dear St. Monica School Families,
Catholic Schools Week is coming soon! It is the national celebration of
the important role that Catholic elementary and secondary schools across
the nation play in providing a Christ-centered foundation and academic
excellence for America’s young people. Please join us anytime during the
week of January 27- February 1st. Look for the flyer in today’s packet
to read all about the activities. We look forward to seeing you!
Weather Concerns:
In the event of bad weather,
please check the major TV and radio stations. Our school website
will also be changed to reflect any changes as will the voicemail on the
main office phone. Because well over half of our school families do not
live on Mercer Island, we need to consider the weather conditions in the
surrounding areas as well and will make the call regarding school delays
and closures in the best interest of all. Thanks for your understanding
and support!
Stewardship Cards: Thanks to
those who have heeded the call and recently turned in Parish Stewardship
cards. It is much appreciated. If you have not yet done so, please turn
them in at the school or parish office as soon as possible. Please feel
free to contact me with any questions or concerns. Thank you for your
support!
Tuition Assistance Applications for 2008-2009:
Applications must be completed online this
year through the Archdiocese of Seattle. Deadline is March 14th.

Gentle Reminder: Please
remember to be mindful and courteous of our neighbors when picking or
dropping off students in the front of the school. Thank you for
your cooperation.

As always, I am just a phone call or an
email away and my door is always open!
May God bless you and those you love!
