Music Notes:

Welcome back to school and let the music begin!

• 4^th graders will be preparing to learn how to play recorders

• 2^nd graders start to keep music notebooks and use music textbooks

• K   will have fun singing and playing instruments

• P-K comes to music once a week

I’m looking forward to seeing all the students back and hearing the room filled with music.

General Music Information

A semester of general music for grades K-5 provides an opportunity to acquire the life skill of music appreciation.  Music theory and exposure to a wide variety of music and performance help to provide the students with a balanced education.  It enhances faith development through sacred music, interfaces with history, culture and encourages service by the sharing of musical gifts.  Music alternates with PE for a semester.

5^th, 3^rd and 1^st grades have music during the second semester.

Grades 4, 2 and K, have music during the first semester.

The entire school participates in the Christmas Pageant and Spring Concert.
