MUSIC Curriculum

Second Grade

Music is studied through music handouts and textbooks. Students learn to read notes, text and lyrics.

Students follow:

• direction of melody

• rhythm patterns

• dynamic symbols

Activities include:

• learning longer songs

• playing pitched instruments

• listening to composed music

Students participate in the Christmas Pageant and Spring Concert.
