Math Buddies for 2010-2011 School year!

This program will continue next year. Note the dates below.

Middle School Students Help Others! Math Buddies meet after school every Tuesday and Thursday.  Trained middle school students buddy with 1st through 5^th graders and work with them to pursue mathematical excellence. Community service hours are earned for middle school tutors who consistently work in this unique after school program.

• Tutors are responsible citizens who exhibit compassion, empathy, and integrity while they engage in the weekly activities of math buddies!

• To be a tutor, and earn service credit, you must commit to a semester of work. You can commit to just tutoring on Tuesdays, or just on Thursdays, but preferably both days. You will be paired with a tutee, a student in grades 1-5 who desires extra assistance.

Information: Our 4th grade and 2nd teachers are the math buddies facilitators for 2010-2011 school year.

• 3- 3:30 PM  in Mrs. Partridge's room on Tuesdays and Thursdays

• Please abide by the scheduled dates. Due to school activities, plays, concerts, etc. tutor buddies does not run EVERY Tuesday and Thursday during the school year.

• Pick up:  The teacher in charge of the tutoring on Tuesday and on Thursday will accompany the buddies to the main entrance. All  student buddies are picked up in the front of the school at 3:30 PM.

• Any changes in schedule will be announced, and the parents will be notified by email of any changes.

• Tutors are also picked up in the front of the school unless arrangements have been made in advance to walk to the library which is arranged with parents and the school is notified.

• NOTE: NO Math Buddies during ITBS week of March 28th to April 1st.
