Birthday Book Club

By donating a book to the St. Monica School Library in honor of your child's birthday, you can support our library and create a tribute to your child that will last for years to come!

How To Participate:

• Fill out the form below.

• Prepare a check, made payable to St Monica School. For a library edition book, $20 is recommended per child. 

• Send the form and check to school, attn: Mrs. Debruyne/Library. For ease of making deposits, we urge you to do this in September or January, regardless of your child's birth month.

• IMPORTANT: Be sure that you and/or your child pick out the book anytime before your child's birth month! Our librarian, Mrs. Debruyne has a list of great books that would enhance our library. You are encouraged to select from these books, or, if you prefer a specific title, let Mrs. Debruyne know at least one month before the birth date so she can place an order for your child. Ideal times to pick out a book are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday mornings before school, or you can contact Mrs. Debruyne to make other arrangements.*

During the month of your child's birthday (or half birthday for summer or September birthdays), the book will be presented to the child during his/her library time. A special bookplate will be permanently placed inside the book stating that it was donated in your child's honor. The birthday child will be the first student to check out the book, and the gift will be acknowledged in the school newsletter.

Donating to the St. Monica Library is a wonderful way to honor a teacher, family member, or the memory of a loved one as well.
