Reading was not Ms. Rastetter's favorite thing to do as a child.  As a result, she has worked hard to motivate her students and instill a passion for reading that will follow them and assist them through their whole life.  Fond memories she shared were of being read to and one of her favorite stories was Tikki Tikki Tembo.  This story is the retelling of an old Chinese folktale and two brothers.  Current favorites are Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak and the Click, Clack Moo series by Doreen Cronin.
