COMMUNICATION

Family Envelopes

The school newsletter will go home every Wednesday in the family envelopes, along with other correspondence from the school and/or teachers.  Each child has an envelope; however, the youngest child will receive the basic packet and his/her envelope is marked with an apple.

Anything pertaining to a particular child or class (e.g. hot lunch forms) will go in the individual child's envelope.  Please sign and return your child's envelope the next day so we may be ready to send them again the following Wednesday.  Do not send loose cash or payments without putting it in another envelope first.  Please label these envelopes.  When writing a check to the school, do not combine amounts.  Separate accounts have been established for tuition, etc.

As with all communities, sometimes there can be a miscommunication between members of the communities.  We at St. Monica School want to quickly clear up any miscommunication.  If this happens with you, please use the following procedures:

  1. First, talk with the person involved.
  2. If that does not arrive at a satisfactory resolution, please talk to the principal.
  3. The pastor is the final authority in the school and the parish, and can be consulted if there is no resolution after talking to the principal.
  4. The School Commission is a parent group that advises the principal and pastor.  Members are available for consultation and answering questions.
