Monica Golf Enthusiasts, This year’s tournament will be held Monday, September 22nd at Glendale Country Club. Registration will begin at 10am and we will fire off the shotgun at noon. Prior to the main event we invite you to practice that swing by hitting as many range balls as you can and then fine tuning that short game by participating in the putting contest. A boxed lunch will be provided and included in your cart. In addition to an excellent day of golf, we are planning a wonderful evening of great food, good friends, prizes and awards, a celebration of Fr. Bowman and a mini auction of sorts! Over the last four years the tournament has cumulatively raised over $42,000 for the St. Monica School Endowment Fund. This year we are hoping to raise in excess of $10,000 but we need your help and support! For additional information and history of the endowment, please visit the golf tournament website. Your entry fee this year will be $200 per person, which will include18 holes of golf with riding cart, (shamble format), unlimited access to the driving range, raffle tickets, a boxed lunch, and finished off with a catered awards dinner banquet at the end of the event. We will cap the evening off with a celebration of Fr. Bowman’s retirement as a pastor! If you are not a golfer we still encourage you to join us for dinner and to celebrate Fr. Bowman’s retirement. The dinner only option this year is $60 per person and includes an incredible assortment of delicious food (Marinated Flank Steak, Mediterranean Chicken Breast, Baked Lasagna, Penne and Linguini Pastas with Marinara, Pesto and Alfredo, Caesar Salad, Italian Chop Salad, Assorted Breads and Sliced Fresh Fruit Display). The dinner hour will begin between 5:00 and 5:30pm. The event is also a great opportunity for your family or company to show its support for St. Monica by sponsoring a foursome, donating prizes/gifts for the raffle, or by selecting a sponsorship level that suits your budget. Additionally, a great way to help to grow this important event is to invite someone that you know to join us. We will definitely need volunteers to help out on the day of the tournament.
