U.S. History and Ethics

 

Aside from the opening unit on the Bill of Rights, the course covers U.S. history from the Civil War to present day in chronological order. The textbook used is the American Journey. Below are some typical units.

  • Vietnam Era

  •  Stock Market Simulation

  • Emergent curriculum if appropriate

The students also study ethics as part of their social studies. The text Building Decision Skills Curriculum on Ethical Decision Making is used as a stand alone program and integrated into our study of U.S. History.
