8th Grade Leadership St. Monica Parish School
Eighth grade students are expected to lead the school through the Student Leadership Council, the Family Program, and daily modeling of Catholic behavior.
To meet the expectation of servant leadership the students:

Plan and lead liturgies and prayer services

Lead Heart of Gold Assemblies

Attend two leadership retreats

Learn ethics, which is integrated into language arts, history, and religion

Lead the School Family program
-
Log at least 30 hours of community service
Instructional Approaches and Methods
Keeping in mind the overarching goal of helping the student evolve academically, socially, and spiritually, a variety of approaches and methods are used including, project-based learning, direct instruction, cooperative learning, inquiry-based learning, and integration of curriculum.
