Let's Get Organized!
(Tips for students and parents on getting and staying organized!)
Plastic sandwich baggies (hole-punched and put in your three-ring binder) are great for holding things like salary sticks, literature element flags, or WOW cards.
Plastic sheet protectors can hold many papers that you need to keep for a while, but not necessarily access often, lyrics, weekly math packets or spelling lists. Having them all bundled together means less clutter in your binder.
Making a checklist is great way to stay organized. Find a method that works for you or use Ms. Schustek's tried and true method... it works!
Get a file system started at home to keep track of graded papers and school stuff. Even just a milk crate with hanging folders keeps papers neat and organized and out of the way. Make folder for each subject and put papers in as you receive them. One folder for upcoming work/ projects helps a lot.
