Textbook - VOICES in Literature

The focus of 6^th grade literature is fluency and comprehension through thematic units.  These thematic units are based on character education, including diversity, inclusion, and conflict resolution.

Topics of study:

-       Elements of literature (plot, characters, theme etc.)

-       Short stories

-       Biographies

-       Poetry

Book  Reports:
RINGO! is the book report curriculum used by the 6^th grade.  Students are responsible for 5 book reports a year.  Each book report involves a writing, art, and public speaking piece.
