Joshua Cizek , winner of the 10th Annual Margo Brahm Foundation Scholarship and the Brahm Family Margo Brahm taught at St. Monica Parish School for over 15 years. Beloved by her students, their parents and fellow teachers, Margo taught kindergarten, fourth and fifth grade. Teaching brought Margo joy, and she loved the children of St. Monica. When Margo passed away in 1999, her family wanted to give back to the school that meant so much to her. In 2002, the family established the Margo Brahm foundation Scholarship awarding a firth grade student at St. Monica Parish School $1000 towards their next year's tuition. Every year, the firth grade class competes by writing essays on different topics. The Brahm family reads each essay and selects a winner. This year students wrote about their goals for the future and the steps they would take to achieve them. The family would like to say that the essays were outstanding and picking a winner was difficult.
